The challenge

Career coaching has a scaling problem built into its economics. The value is in the depth of the one-to-one relationship, and depth is exactly what breaks when volume rises.

Katherine’s practice ran the traditional way: manual scheduling, paper assessments, and a stack of disconnected tools. Every new client meant admin work before any coaching happened. And every session started with the coach spending the first portion of a paid hour rebuilding context.

She needed to serve thousands. The obvious paths both failed: hire more coaches and quality becomes inconsistent, or automate the coaching itself and the thing clients pay for disappears. The actual problem wasn’t the coaching: it was everything around it.

What we built

A Stripe-powered SaaS platform that automates the entire path from payment to a fully-briefed coaching session, so the human hour is spent on coaching rather than setup.

Payment-gated assessment

Stripe handles payment, and successful payment immediately unlocks a comprehensive personality and interest assessment. No manual invoicing, no gap between commitment and start.

Instant assessment processing

Results are processed the moment the assessment is submitted: no scoring backlog. The output identifies the client’s archetype, strengths and recommended directions.

Dual-surface results delivery

Processed results surface simultaneously to two audiences: the client sees their profile and recommendations, the coach sees a structured dashboard built for session prep. Same data, different presentation, both instant.

Context-loaded coach dashboard

Coaches enter every session with full context already loaded: archetype, strengths and recommended paths, all in front of them before the call begins. The first minute is coaching, not intake.

How it works

1

Purchase: the client pays through Stripe.

2

Unlock: payment automatically grants access to the assessment.

3

Assess: the client completes the personality and interest assessment.

4

Process: results are scored and interpreted instantly.

5

Surface: the client receives their profile; the coach’s dashboard is populated.

6

Coach: the live session begins with full context already in place.

FAQ

Can the assessment be customised for a different coaching methodology?

The architecture separates the assessment instrument from the delivery experience, so a different framework can be implemented without rebuilding the client and coach surfaces.

Does this replace the coach?

The opposite. It removes the administrative and diagnostic work that ate into coaching time, so the coach’s hour is spent entirely on the part that requires a human.

What does the coach actually see before a session?

The client’s unique archetype, measured strengths and recommended career paths, structured for session preparation rather than raw assessment output.

Is it suitable for other assessment-led service businesses?

The core pattern , payment unlocks assessment, assessment loads a practitioner dashboard , transfers to any practice where a structured intake should precede a live expert session.

Scaling a service business without diluting it?

If admin work is eating the hours you should spend on clients, there’s a way to scale depth.
